DSTDC Data Warehouse Initiation and Use Policy for MOE Student Information System Data

2. Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to establish a basic data warehouse capability for the Division of Student Testing and Data Collection (DSTDC) to support the analysis of student discipline, attendance, and special education data. The data warehouse will enable DSTDC staff to securely store, access, and analyze student discipline, attendance, and special education data on an ongoing basis.

3. Policy Statement

DSTDC shall establish and maintain a simple SQL-based data warehouse to store student discipline, attendance, and special education data from the MOE SIS system. The data warehouse shall be available to authorized DSTDC staff on a continuous basis to support analysis and reporting activities.

4. Process

DSTDC shall establish procedures under this policiy and in compliance with this and other relevant policies, that specify how the data warehouse will be implemented.
